Our Story

Our name, “Roggenart”, literally means “the art of rye” in German, a testament to our dedication to traditional craftsmanship and the simple, high-quality ingredients that form the heart of our creations.

Founded in June 2017 by Neman Popov, Roggenart was born from a passion for European café culture and a desire to create a “feel-good place” where guests could savor artisanal treats in a cozy, inviting atmosphere. We pride ourselves on baking everything from scratch daily, in small batches, ensuring unparalleled freshness and flavor.

His goal was to build a city that would not only be a great place to live, but also a model for social and economic integration, designed to nurture the growth of its people. Columbia’s unique structure of ten self-contained villages—each with its own character and amenities—fosters a genuine sense of community. We’re thrilled to become a part of this special place, contributing to the fabric of daily life with our handcrafted breads, pastries, and European-inspired meals.
