Our Story

Our name, “Roggenart”, literally means “the art of rye” in German, a testament to our dedication to traditional craftsmanship and the simple, high-quality ingredients that form the heart of our creations.

Founded in June 2017 by Neman Popov, Roggenart was born from a passion for European café culture and a desire to create a “feel-good place” where guests could savor artisanal treats in a cozy, inviting atmosphere. We pride ourselves on baking everything from scratch daily, in small batches, ensuring unparalleled freshness and flavor.

Established in 1822, Savage Mill was a textile mill known for producing canvas for ships like the historic USS Constitution. It has always been a hub of craftsmanship, creating beautiful and enduring goods. Today, the mill is reimagined as a lively destination for artisans and unique shops. Inspired by this legacy, we are dedicated to the art of traditional baking in every loaf, pastry, and handcrafted coffee we serve.
